THE Arc
of Cedar Valley
The Arc of Cedar Valley, known for many years as the Arc of Black Hawk County, was founded in 1954. The Arc of Cedar Valley is a strong advocate voice for children and adults with mental retardation, Cerebral Palsy, and related disabilities.
The Arc of Cedar Valley is affiliated with the Arc of Iowa and The Arc of the United States, the nation's largest non-profit, volunteer organization devoted to improving the lives of individuals and children with disabilities and their families.
The Arc of Cedar Valley receives financial support from Cedar Valley United Way membership and other donations. The organization is volunteer driven in policy and governed by a board of directors comprised of self-advocates, family members, and other interested members of the community.
