This building
was originally the St. Peter Catholic Church and served
the African-American Catholics of St. Mary's parish. In
1966, it became the Jesse Cosby Neighborhood Center, providing
a variety of social services to the community. Its name
honors a popular leader, Jesse Cosby, who worked for the
Waterloo Recreation Center and the University of Northern
Iowa. |
