An important part of the railway system in Waterloo was the Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Northern. Not just a trolley line that moved people to downtown or to work, it moved freight from one line to another. Company offices were located here, and it was the terminal for interurbans running to Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids and Waverly.
